Boston, Mass.; Coleman, married Alice DuPont, lives in Delaware, and is state senator; A. B., deceased; Dora, deceased, was the wife of Harry Phillips; Zara, lives in Boston, Mass.; Paulina, married Henry Baldwin, deceased, and she lives in Louisville, Ky.; and Evan M., the subject of this sketch.
Evan DuPont spent his boyhood in Louisville, Ky., where he was educated. From 1893 until 1898 he was engaged in coal mining and planing mill work at Central City, Ky. In 1898 he came to Johnstown and since 1901 he has been identified with the Johnstown Traction Company, first as superintendent and later as president.
Mr. DuPont was married first on Oct. 12, 1901, to Miss Helen Quinn, who was born in Johnstown, July 11, 1876, the daughter of James and Rose (Guise) Quinn. To them six children were born, as follows: James Quinn, Biderman, Helen Rosena, Ellen, Dora, and William. Mrs. DuPont died July 2, 1917, and is buried in Grandview Cemetery. On June 5, 1924, Mr. DuPont was married to Mrs. Mabel C. Campbell, of Johnstown, the widow of Louis Campbell. By her first marriage Mrs. DuPont has five children: Bruce H., Edward E., Mary R., Robert E. and Elizabeth C.
In politics Mr. DuPont is identified with the Republican party. He is a public spirited citizen and holds the high regard of all who know him.
Frank T. Mulvehill is one of the widely known young business men of Johnstown, where he is cashier of the Johnstown State Deposit Bank. He was born at Ebensburg, March 15, 1889, and is the son of Emmett and Elizabeth (Krug) Mulvehill.
Emmett Mulvehill was born in Pine Township, Indiana County, Pa. At an early age he settled at Braddock, where he entered the employ of the Carnegie Steel Company as a carpenter. He has been identified with this company for many years and resides at Ebensburg. Mr. Mulvehill is a Democrat and a member of the Catholic Church. His wife was born in Barr Township, Cambria County. To Mr. and Mrs. Mulvehill were born six children, as follows: Gertrude, married William Moehler, lives in Pittsburgh; Frank T., the subject of this sketch; Walter, a building contractor, lives in Ebensburg; Stanton R., lives in Ebensburg, is a veteran of the World war, having served in France with the Aviation Corps; Olean,
