678 HISTORY OF CAMBRIA COUNTY

    On June 30, 1912, Mr. Schultz was united in marriage with Miss Blanch Tautlinger, who was born in this city in 1890, the daughter of Daniel and Margaret (Moran) Tautlinger, residents of Johnstown and the parents of the following children: Mrs. Schultz; John, lives in Johnstown; Esther, married Mitchell Spangler, lives in Somerset County, Pa.; Ira, lives in Johnstown; and Florence, lives in Johnstown. A son has been born to Mr. and Mrs. Schultz, Harry D., born Jan. 14, 1914.
    Politically Mr. Schultz is a Republican. He and his wife hold membership in the United Brethren Church and he is affiliated with the Masonic Lodge. He has a wide acquaintance in Cambria County and is well liked.




    William Findley Patch, general superintendent of the Penn Traffic Company, ranks among Johnstown's most prominent business men and highly esteemed citizens. He was born in Kernville, now the Fifth Ward of Johnstown, April 26, 1866, and is the son of Isaac Marion and Mary Ann (Leadbeater) Patch.
    Isaac Marion Patch was born in Indiana County, Pa., Sept. 20, 1835, the son of Alvah and Catherine (Stitt) Patch. He was eight years old at the time of his father's death and for several years lived with his widowed mother. He began his industrial life by learning the blacksmith's trade, which he followed for a short time. At the age of 21 years he came to Johnstown and entered the service of the Cambria Iron Company, with whom he remained for the long period of 41 years. He ws first burgess of the borough of Morrellville and for ten years held the office of justice of the peace. He was a life-long Republican, and a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church. Mr. Patch died May 30, 1896. To Isaac Marion and Mary Ann (Leadbeater) Patch the following children were born: Alvah, deceased; E. L., superintendent of the Bethlehem Steel Foundry, Johnstown; James G., a blacksmith with the Bethlehem Steel Company, lives in Johnstown; Phoebe Marian, married J. J. Berkey; Thomas, deceased; Harry E., lives in Johnstown; William Findley, the subject of this sketch; and Campbell, who was born Aug. 31, 1878, and is secretary and treasurer of the Haws Refractories Company. He married Miss Mary Gertrude Miller, the daughter of George W. and Eliza Jane (Richardson)
