    On Sept. 10, 1894, Mr. Runzo was united in marriage with Miss Mary Scacio, also a native of Italy. They have five children: Mary, married B. Traino, lives at Cresson; Vera, married S.P. Mazza, lives at Cresson; Jospeh G., married Esther Beke. Lives at Cresson; Samuel A., secretary of his father's business, is unmarried; and Rose, a student.
    Mr. Runzo is active in politics and is a member of the Catholic Church and Italian Society. He has a wide acquaintance throughout the community and is well liked.

    J. M. Buck is a progressive and reliable business man of Cresson, where he has engaged in the undertaking business for more than 25 years. He was born in Allegheny Township, Cambria County, April 27, 1866, and is the son of Jacob and Margaret (McGough) Buck.
    Jacob Buck, deceased, was a native of Cambria County and the son of Joseph Buck, one of the first settlers of Bucks County, Pa. He ran one of the first grist mills in that section and was a prominent citizen during his life. Jacob Buck was an extensive farmer and stockman and owned 186 acres of land in Cambria County. He died in 1896 and his widow died in 1905. She is the daughter of James McGough, a well known pioneer of Cambria County. Mr. and Mrs. Buck had 12 children, of whom seven are deceased.
    At an early age J.M. Buck learned the carpenter trade and was employed by his uncle, Frank Buck, of Carrolltown for ten years. He then worked as a pattern maker for five years in Cresson and in 1902 engaged in the undertaking business.
    In 1888 Mr. Buck was united in marriage with Miss Sarah M. O'Neil, of Loretto, Pa. To them were born two sons: Cyrus V., who died at the age of 33 years; and Rev. M. O., was ordained in 1923 and is assistant at St. Columbus Church, Johnstown.
    Politically, Mr. Buck is a Democrat. He served as a member of the Cresson board of health for 17 years and is a member of the school board. He holds membership in the Catholic Church, Loyal Order of Moose, and is identified with the State Undertakers Association of Pennsylvania. Mr. Buck has a wide acquaintance in the community and is highly esteemed.
