Paul Massimello is an enterprising merchant of Cresson, where he is engaged in the grocery and fruit business. He was born in Italy, Sept. 25, 1880 the son of Frank and Josephine (Fariago) Massimello.
    Frank Massimello, who owned and operated a flour mill for many years at Coroso, Italy. To Mr. and Mrs. Frank Massimello three children were born: Paul, the subject of this sketch; Phillippine, died in Johnstown; and Samuel, deceased.
    Paul Massimello was 18 years of age when he emigrated to this country and settled in Johnstown. Since 1925 he has conducted his present business at 119 Powell Street, Cresson. He carries a good grade of merchandise and has a fine trade.
    Mr. Massimello was married first to Miss Bridgett Monica, deceased. In 1924 he married Miss Nicolitti Fortunata, also a native of Italy, and they have a son, Felix, born Feb. 11, 1926.
    Politically, Mr. Massimello is a Republican and the family are members of the Catholic Church.




    Louis Luxenberg, a well known and highly respected citizen of Barnesboro, where he is burgess, and owner of the leading jewelry store, is a native of Russia. He was born April 25, 1878, in Kovno, Russia, a son of Leo and Rachael Luxenberg.
    Leo Luxenberg was engaged in the number business during his life and died at the age of 4 years. He is buried in Kovno, Russia. The mother is deceased and is buried in Altoona, Pa. Mr. and Mrs. Luxenberg were the parents of eight children, all living in the United States.
    When Louis Luxenberg was but 13 years of age he came to America and settled in New York City, where he learned the pattern makers' trade. Two years later he came to Houtsdale, Clearfield County, Pa., and engaged in the peddling business, which he followed for ten years. In 1903 Mr. Luxenberg came to Barnesboro and engaged in the jewelry business, in which he has met with succes. His store is located at 1004 Philadelphia Avenue and is owned by Mr. Luxenberg.
    Mr. Luxenberg is a stockholder and director in the first national Bank, president of the Economy Furniture Company, and president of the Star Printing Company. He served as burgess of Barnesboro from 1913 until 1921, and was again elected burgess in 1925 for a term of four years.
