    Arthur W. Price, a World war veteran, is well and favorably known throughout Cambria County as principal of the Colver Schools. He was born in Arnot, Pa., Aug. 2, 1894, and is the son of Philip and Mary S. (Pryne) Price.
    Philip Price, deceased, was a native of Wales. He worked in the mines during his entire life and died in 1906. He is buried at Coalport, Pa. His widow, a native of Sayre, Pa., lives at Big Run, Pa. To Mr. and Mrs. Price the following children were born: Lillie, Herman and Mary, all deceased; two children died in infancy; Anna, married L. D. Bailey, lives at Mehaffey, Pa.; William R.; lives at Burnside, Pa.; Thomas J., lives at Burnside, Pa.; Arthur W., the subject of this sketch; Bertie and Edith, both deceased. Mr. Price was a Republican and a member of the Presbyterian Church.
    Arthur W. Price was educated in the schools of Clearfield County and was graduated from Indiana Normal School. He taught school for one term in Burnside Township, Clearfield County, and for three terms at Burnside. On April 3, 1918, he enlisted for service in the World War and was sent to Camp Lee, Va., where he was assigned to Headquarters Company, 319th Infantry, 80th Division. He served in France and participated in the Meuse-Argonne offensive. He was discharged at Camp Sherman, Ohio, June 13, 1919. Mr. Price then entered the employ of the Glenwood Coal Company at Burnside and the following year was identified with the Cambria Indiana Railroad Company. In 1921 he became a member of the faculty of the Colver Schools, of which he was appointed principal in 1924.
    In 1918 Mr. Price was married to Miss Martha S. Sunderline, the daughter of E. M. and Lydia (Poorman) Sunderline, natives of Lockhaven, Pa., and residents of McGee's Mills. Mr. and Mrs. Price have two children: Arthur E., Jr., born Oct. 1, 1923; and Marion, born Jan. 6, 1926.
    Mr. Price is a Republican and a member of the Presbyterian Church, He is active in the Parent-Teacher Association.
