    Mr. Parnell is a Republican and has served as justice of the peace at West Elizabeth one term. He and his family are members of the Second Presbyterian Church, Moxham.




    Albert C. Ringel, a World War veteran, is well and favorably known in Johnstown, where he is a partner in the Storage Battery Service Company. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, Aug. 10, 1894, and is the son of Albert and Margaret (Hofer) Ringel.
    Albert Ringel was born at Sluttgart, Germany, and his wife is a native of Wisconsin. In 1886 Mr. Ringel came to this country and settled at Cincinnati, Ohio, where he worked at his trade as a printer. In 1911 he went to Cleveland, Ohio, where he has since been associated with the German Press & Plate Company as foreman of the linotype department. He is a Republican and a member of the German Lutheran Church. To Mr. and Mrs. Ringel the following children were born: Emma, married Ernest Klaus, Lives in Pittsburgh, where he is connected with the Westinghouse Electric Company as an electric engineer; Norma, deceased; Edna, married W. H. Stoffel, lives in Johnstown, where he is connected with the Storage Battery Service Company; Alma and Hilda, both deceased; and Albert C., the subject of this sketch.
    Albert C. Ringel attended the public schools of Cincinnati and Cleveland and in 1912 was graduated from East Technical High School, Cleveland. He was connected with the King Bridge Company of Cleveland as assistant contracting engineer until 1917, at which time he went to Medina, Ohio, as bridge engineer for Medina County. In June of that year he enlisted in the U. S. Army and was sent to Camp Sherman, Ohio, where he served as member of Company D, 308th Engineers, 83rd Division. Mr. Ringel served in France and participated in the Meuse Argonne and Aisne Marne offensives. He also served in German with the Army of Occupation and was discharged at Camp Sherman, Ohio, in July, 1919. He then returned to the employ of the King Bridge Company, Cleveland, and in 1921 came to Johnstown, where he organized his present business with Mr. Stoffel. They are local Willard storage battery representatives, as well as agents for Electric Automotive Equipment Companies and Stanley springs. Seven men are employed in the modern and well equipped battery station, which is located at 108/14 Willow Street.
