accepted a position as salesman with Dickson & Eddy, 17 Battery Place, New York City, territory Ontario and Western Railroad line, sales agent from New York to Sidney, N. Y., also Hudson River, N. Y., to Troy, N. Y. He was later promoted to city salesman and Long Island territory. Mr. Camp resigned his position to enter the Martin Camp Company, 143 Liberty Street, New York City, as treasurer in 1916. In 1917 he was elected president of Martin-Camp Company, Inc., and the following year the company was reorganized and capital increased under corporate style, McCann-Camp Company, I. L. Camp, treasurer. The above companies engaged in the wholesale coal business. In 1920 Mr. Camp came to Johnstown and organized the Producers Coal & Coke Company and was elected president. In 1923 he sold his interests in the McCann-Camp Company and acquired control of the Producers Coal & Coke Company. In August, 1923, he organized Camp-Osgood-Sleppy, Inc., Scranton, Pa., wholesale anthracite dealers, of which he was elected president. In 1924 he organized the Winber Coal Mining Company, with offices in the U. S. Bank Building, Johnstown, and mines near Windber, Pa., of which he was elected treasurer. He is a director of the Johnstown Trust Company.
    On Oct. 9, 1902, Mr. Camp was united in marriage with Miss Gertrude Pease, of Conway, Mass., the daughter of Newton W. and Martha J. (Wilbur) Pease, the former a native of Enfield, Conn., and the latter of Schenectady, N. Y. Mr. Pease is deceased and his widow resides in Deland, Fla., and Johnstown. Mr. and Mrs. Camp have a son, Irving Luzerne, Jr., who is a student at Mercersburg Academy.
    In March, 1922, Mr. Camp was elected organization president of the Johnstown Lions Club; in July, 1922, was elected first president of the Johnstown Lions Club, service on year; March 1, 1923, was elected district governor Lions International at the International Convention and served until July 1, 1924; was elected third vice president Lions International at the International Convention held at Omaha, Nebr., June, 1924; was elected second vice president Lion International at the International Convention held at Cedar Point, Ohio, June 1925. Mr. Camp has served as a director of the Conemaugh Valley Memorial Hospital, Johnstown, for several years; as a director of Johnstown Associated Charities; and as director of Boy Scout of America Johnstown Council.
    Irving Luzerne Camp received his education in the public schools of Waterbury and was graduated from Wilbraham (Mass.) Academy in 1900 as president of his class. He was elected and served as the youngest trustee of the academy until his removal to Pennsylvania. Mr. Camp began his business career as a clerk in his father's employ, later was employed by the Frank Miller Coal Company, Waterbury, and in October, 1903,
