to Miss Bernetta F. Long, the daughter of J. T. and Mary (Strittmatter) Long, of Summerhill. To this union have been born three children, John, Ruth, and Betty.
In politics Mr. Robine is identified with the Democratic party, and he has served as borough auditor for several years, as well as clerk of the council. He has also been a member of the school board for 17 years. Mr. Robine holds membership in St. John's Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, fourth degree, and Knights of St. George. He has many friends in Cambria County, and he and his family are among the representative citizens of their community.

    C. A. Hutzel, owner and proprietor of the Palace Theatre, ranks among South Fork's leading business men. He was born on the old Allison farm in Richland Township, Cambria County, Aug. 22, 1875, and is the son of William and Rachel (Walford) Hutzel.
William Hutzel, deceased, was a native of South Fork. He was a coal miner and met death in the Stineman mine disaster in 1890. The previous year the Hutzel family had lost their home in the Johnstown flood. His wife, also a native of South Fork, died in 1878, when C. A., the subject of this sketch, was but three years of age. Another brother, William, is a building contractor and lives at Richmond Hill, Long Island, N. Y.
    C. A. Hutzel attended the district schools of Adams Township and worked on his uncle's farm until he was 16 years of age. He then came to South Fork and worked in the mines for ten years, after which he engaged in the retail coal business. Mr. Hutzel owned and operated the first garage in South Fork, and in 1907 opened the first theatre here. The Palace Theatre shows Fox, Universal, and Metro-Goldwyn feature pictures, and its policy has always been to present the best in motion pictures. It has a seating capacity of 450.
On Oct. 15, 1896, Mr. Hutzel was united in marriage with Miss Mary Eleanora Kaufmann, the daughter of Joshua and Rosanna (Miller) Kaufmann, natives of Mifflin County, Pa., who settled in South Fork in 1875. Mr. Kaufmann is deceased and his widow lives at South Fork. Three sons were born to Mr. and Mrs. Hutzel; Andrew Burkey, married Mabel Buiford, and they have a son, William Clair; Clair, deceased; and Elihu, lives at home.
