Jaffa Temple, Ancient Arabic Order Nobles of the Mystic Shrine, and Jaffa Shrine Club, of Altoona, Pa.; Shriners' Association of Johnstown, Pa. He is also affiliated with the Knights of Pythias, the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, Ligonier, Pa.; the Maccabees and Woodmen of the World fraternities of Johnstown, Pa.; also is one of the organizers of the Psi Omega dental fraternity; associate member of the Odontological Society of Western Pennsylvania at Pittsburgh, and member of the local Central Pennsylvania Dental Society, Pennsylvania State Dental Society, and American Dental Association. Doctor Morgan resides at the corner of Central Avenue and Valley Pike, where he erected a brick residence some years ago. H. S. Boucher is among the reliable business men of Beaverdale, where he is owner and manager of the Beaverdale Garage. He was born in Indiana County, Pa., April 2, 1870, and is the son of Samuel and Mary(Betz) Boucher. Samuel Boucher, deceased, was a native of Indiana County, and a farmer during his active career. His widow resides at Beaverdale. Mr. and Mrs. Boucher had the following children: Lottie, I. A., H. S., Rennie, Ella, and Larkey. H. S. Boucher spent his boyhood on his father's farm and attended the district school of Payne Township, Indiana County. He also attended Mine Center Select School, Purchase Line Academy, and Indiana Normal School. Mr. Boucher later removed to Spangler, where he engaged in the meat business. In 1906 he located at Beaverdale, where he conducted an extensive meat business until 1920. He then became proprietor of the Beaverdale Garage. He has the agency for the Willys-Knight, Overland and Chrysler automobiles, and owns one of the finest salesrooms and service stations in the county. Mr. Boucher was married in 1901 to Miss Jettie M. Baker, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hezikiah Baker, of Indiana County. To Mr. and Mrs. H. S. Boucher have been born two children, Ford and Blanche. Blanche married D. T. Michels; they have three children, Richard, Jettie and Vaughn. Mr. Boucher is a Republican and served as township supervisor. He and his family are members of the United Brethren Church. |
