On June 4, 1901, Mr. Brown was married to Miss E. P. Westover, who was born in Houtsdale, a daughter of Job and Amanda Petticord, residents of Barnesboro. Mr. and Mrs. Brown four children have been born; Gerald, born in 1907, a graduate of Barnesboro High School; Delmont, born in 1915, a student in the grade school; and Erma Louise, born in 1922. The family home is located at 812 Maple Street, Barnesboro.
    Mr. Brown is a Republican and a member of the Knights of Pythias and Red Men. Both Mr. and Mrs. Brown are active in church work. He is a member of the Baptist Church, and Mrs. Brown is a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church and member of the Ladies' Aid Society.




    Frederick Morley, the well known justice of the peace of Barnesboro, was born in Liverpool, England, Sept. 16, 1872, a son of Edwin and Mary Ellen Morley.
    Edwin Morley was born at Newark, Nottinghamshire, England, and during his early life was a professional cricket player. He followed this profession for 14 years and died at the age of 88 years, and is buried at St. Helen's, England. Mrs. Morley came to the United States and resided in Barnesboro for 27 years and died at the age of 74. Mr. & Mrs. Morley had three children: Frederick, the subject of this sketch; Arthur, resides in Youngstown, where he is proprietor of a delicatessens store.
    Frederick Morley came to the Untied States in 1887 and settled in Philipsburg, Pa., and worked in the mines for 10 years. In 1897 he moved to Barnesboro, where he was engaged in mining for five years, and then became interested in a theatre which he owned and operated for about 10 years. He sold his theatre and since then has devoted himself to the duties of his present office.
    On July 2, 1892, Mr. Morley was married at Philipsburg to Miss Maud Gilson, a native of Gloustershire, England, who came to America at the age of 15. She is a daughter of Francis and Elizabeth Gibson. Mrs. Gibson is deceased and Mr. Gibson lives in England, where he was a sheep raiser during his active career. He is now 76 years of age.
    Mr. and Mrs. Morley have 10 children, as follows: Edwin, a professional nurse, lives in Iowa City; Mary Elizabeth, married James McTigue, lives in Philipsburg, where he is a miner; Frank, a veteran of
