the country. Territory covered by the Barnesboro Baking Company includes the towns of Barnesboro, Spangler, Carrolltown, St. Benedict, Hastings, Emeigh, Emans, Cherry Tree, Burnside, Arcadia, and Heilwood.
     To Robert and Jane (Marsden) Taylor the following children were born: George, the subject of this sketch; Annie, married Charles Pratt, lives in Pittsburgh; Richard, lives at Barnesboro, Gilbert, lives in Pittsburgh; Harold, lives at Barnesboro; William and John, both at home. Mrs. Taylor, the daughter of George and Ann Marsden. The mother is deceased.
     George Taylor was reared and educated at Barnesboro and at an early age became interested in his father's business, of which he is now manager.
     Mr. Taylor was married on Jan. 10, 1913, to Miss Virginia McNulty, of Barnesboro. They have seven children: Robert, Elizabeth, Ruth, Helen, Dorothy, George, Jr., and Laura Grace.
     Mr. Taylor is a member of St. Thomas Church, and is a Republican.




    C. M. Schaeffer ranks among the enterprising and successful business men of Barnesboro, where he has engaged in the drug business for more than 20 years. He was born at Burnside, in Clearfield County, Pa., April 21, 1874, and is the son of A. H. and Amelia (Krause) Schaeffer.
     A. H. Schaeffer, deceased, was a antive of Reading, Pa. He engaged in the lumber and hotel business during his early life and was later a merchant. He died at Burnside in 1919, and his wife died in 1885. To Mr. and Mrs. Schaeffer were born the following children: William, deceased; Mary, deceased; Elmer, lives at Nanty Glo, Pa.; C. M., the subject of this sketch; and Mrs. Daniel Koozer, lives in Indiana.
     C. M. Schaeffer was reared and educated in Clearfield County and later lived in Indiana County. He was graduated from Valparaiso State University, In Indiana, after which he engaged in the drug business at Hastings, in Cambria County. In 1905 he removed to Barnesboro, where he has since ranked among the leading merchants. Mr. Schaeffer carries a complete line of fine drugs and is a prescription specialist. He has also opened a novelty shop in connection with his drug business.
     On Nov. 10, 1900, Mr. Schaeffer was married to Miss Celia Notley, a native of Pennsylvania, and the daughter of John F. and Amanda E. Notley. To Mr. and Mrs. Schaeffer were born two children: Jean A., a graduate of Barnesboro High School, now a student of Indiana Normal School; and Alvin H., died in 1905 at the age of four years.
