pany. From there he went with the Corona Silk Company at Dunmore, Pa., and in 1918 accepted his present position with the Portage Silk Mills. He has a wide acquaintance thoroughout Cambria County and is considered one of the reliable business men of this section.
    On June 26, 1907, Mr. Bosley was united in marriage with Miss Florence M. Warren, of Avoca, Pa., the daughter of Charles and Jane (Murdock) Warren. Mrs. Bosley was born in Colorado. Mr Warren died in 1906 and his widow lives at Avoca, Pa. To Mr. and Mrs. Bosley five children have been born: James C., Warren D., George M., Mary Elizabeth, and Florence Ruth.
    Mr. Bosley is a Republican and holds membership in the Evangelical Church. He is prominent in all civic affairs.
    H. M. Jones has along been numbered among the representative business men of Portage, where he is secretary of the Portage Construction Company. He was born at Wilmore. Pa., Feb, 17, 1876, and is the son of Owen E. and Agnes (Reynold) Jones.
    Owen E. Jones was born and reared in Wales and upon coming to the United Stated settled at Philadelphia, where he remained from 1850 until 1865. He then settled on a farm near Wilmore, in Cambria County, where he spent the remainder of his life. Mr. Jones died in 1923 and is buried in Lloyd Cemetery, Ebensburg. He was a member of the Congregational Church and for several years served as township area supervisor. His widow was born in Scotland in 1854. She resides with her son. H. M., the subject of this sketch. Her other children are: Tillie, unmarried, lives with her brother Edward at Wilmore; Emma Lucinda, lives at Portland, Maine, married Charles A. Moore; and Edward, lives at Wilmore.
    H. M. Jones spent his boyhood in Summerhill Township and attended the district schools. He was associated with his father in general farming and stock raising for several years and afterward worked at the carpenter trade. In 1915 he helped to organize and establish the present contracting business in Portage, which is numbered among the leading firms of the city. It is known and incorporated as the Portage Construction Company. There are also dealers in builders' supplies and have an extensive trade. Mr. Jones is secretary of the Portage Construction Company, Earl M. Smith is vice president, and H. G. Gochnour president. The company also
