residents of Johnstown, where Mr. Patterson is superintendent of the Loyal-Hannah Coal & Coke Company. To Mr. and Mrs. Jones a son, Wayne Robert, was born Feb. 9, 1923.
    Politically Mr. Jones is a Republican. He holds membership in the Methodist Church, F, & A, M. No. 312, Ebensburg, Williamsport Consistory 32nd degree, Jaffa Temple and Shrine Club of Altoona, and Tall Cedars of Lebanon, Ebensburg. Mr. Jones is popular among his wide circle of friends. Mr. Jones has been elected and is now serving as supervising principal of the Summerhill Township Public Schools, Cambria County, Pa. Address: Beaverdale, Pa.




    L. I. Arbogast, comptroller and assistant superintendent of the Vinton Colliery Company and vice president of the Vintondale State Bank, is a representative citizen and successful business man of Cambria County. He was born at Mount Pleasant Mills, Snyder County, Pa., Feb. 16, 1884, and is the son of William S. and Margaret (Fisher) Arbogast.
    William S. Arbogast, deceased, was a prominent citizen of Miffintown, Pa. He was born at Mount Pleasant Mills and began life as a farmer. He later engaged in the hotel business at Miffentown, and for eight years successfully conducted Jacobs House. He operated several hotels at that place, and after his retirement from business, resided at Miffintown. He died Jan. 20, 1926, and his wife died Nov. 4, 1921. Mr. Arbogast was a Republican, a member of the Lutheran Church, Masonic Lodge, Harrisburg Consistory, 32nd degree and Zembo Temple, Harrisburg. To Mr. and Mrs. Arbogast were born two children: L. I., the subject of this sketch; and Edna, lives at Philadelphia.
    L. I. Arbogast received his education in the public schools an was graduated from Lewistown Academy. He then entered the employ of the Pennsylvania Railroad at Miffintown in a clerical capacity, and on Aug. 4, 1912, moved to Vintondale, where he became chief clerk of the Vinton Colliery Company. In 1916 he was promoted to comptroller and is also assistant superintendent.
    On June 16, 1925, Mr. Arbogast was united in marriage with Miss Euphemia Shaw, the daughter of Robert and Euphemia Shaw, residents of Houtzdale. Mr. Shaw is deceased and is buried at Houtzdale. Pa. His widow lives at Houtzdale.
