the railroad and on March 16,1920, was transferred to Conemaugh, where he handled passenger train detentions in the master mechanic's office. On March 15,1921,when that office was transferred to Pittsburgh, Mr. Burkey left the service of the railroad and engaged in business at South Fork. He organized the South Fork Wall Paper and Paint Company and served as secretary, treasurer and general manager. Later he became sole owner of the business. He is also treasurer of the Conemaugh Valley Insurance Agency.
    In November, 1925, Mr. Burley was elected vice president of the school board of South Fork for a period of six years. He served as president of the South Fork High School Alumni Association in 1922-23-24, and was reelected for three years in 1925. He is treasurer of the South Fork Basketball Association and faculty manager of the high school basketball team. Mr. Burkey is a Republican, a member of the United Evangelical Church, American Legion and Independant Order of Odd Fellows. He is unmarried.




    Lou H. Schueler is a well known business man and leading citizen of Johnstown, where he is manager of the Gramm-Kincaid Motor Sales Company. He was born at Providence, R.I., Sept. 22, 1886, and is the son of Henry R. and Aliene (Emerson) Schueler, both deceased.
    After completing his schooling at Providence, Lou H. Schueler was interested in the hotel business for several years. From 1916 until 1918 he was identified with Dodge Brothers Company of Chicago. In 1919 he was appointed manager of the Chicago branch of the Keystone Truck Company and in 1922 came to Johnstown as sales manager of the Pioneer Motor Sales Company. Mr. Schueler recently organized the Gramm-Kincaid Motor Sales Company, which is located at 46 Valley Pike. They are local dealers for the Gramm-Kincaid motor trucks and operate a first class repair shop for service to all truck owners and operators. George Bayette is service manager. The Gramm-Kincaid trucks range in price from $1,330.00 to $5,200, and are from one to seven ton capacity.
    On July 18, 1922, Mr. Schueler was married to Miss Jessie Laird, of Philipsburg, the daughter of Elmer Laird. They have a daughter, Luella.
    Mr. Schueler is a Republican, a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church of Morrellville and the Loyal Order of Moose.
