Company. They are leading electrical contractors of the city and specialize in electrical equipment and appliances for the home. The company, which is located at 140 Market Street, employs 27 people.
    On June 30, 1914, Mr. Bernard was married to Miss Edith Jane Jones, the daughter of George W. and Lola Jones, of Hollidaysburg, Pa. They have four children: Olive, George, Dorothy, and Paul.
    Mr. Bernard is a member of the Johnstown Chamber of Commerce and is active in the International Bible Association. He is one of the reliable and substantial men of the community.




    Nat H. Hankoff, a well known member of the Greater Johnstown Development Company, real estate brokers, Johnstown, is a native of Russia. He was born March 4, 1897, at Slonim, Russia, and is a son of Max and Elizabeth (Misler) Hankoff.
    Max Hankoff emigrated to this country in 1904 and located in Baltimore, Md., and in 1907 his wife and son Max came to America. Mrs. Hankoff is deceased and is buried at Baltimore, where the father now resides.
    Nat H. Hankoff was educated in the Baltimore public schools and was a student for three years at the Baltimore Polytechnical Institute. He later attended Carnegie Tech at Pittsburgh for one year. He began his business career in the employ of the McClintick-Marshall Construction Company of Pittsburgh, where he remained until he entered the service during the World war.
    On June 1, 1918, Mr. Hankoff volunteered for service and was stationed at Camp Meade for a short time with the Chemical Warfare Service Division and was then sent to France, where he served for one year. Upon receiving his discharge, Mr. Hankoff returned to Baltimore and entered the jewelry business, in which he was engaged for a year and a half. In May, 1923, he moved to Pittsburgh, where he was in the real estate business until coming to Johnstown in October, 1923.
    On June 26, 1921, Mr. Hankoff was united in marriage with Miss Bess Feinstein, a daughter of Peter and Fannie Feinstein of Pittsburgh. They have one child, T. Burton, born June 21, 1922. The Hankoff family home is at 219 South Street.
    Mr. Hankoff belongs to the Jewish Synagogue. He is a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and in politics is an independent voter.
