A VERY SUDDEN DEATH
Mrs. Sarah J. Pringle Expires at Home of Her
Son-in-law in Second Ward
While returning home on Saturday night from a visit to her nephew and niece, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Berry of the South Side, Mrs. Sarah J. Pringle, widow of Daniel J. Pringle fell over in the doorway at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Alex Kerr, No. 108 Conemaugh street, Second Ward, and died fifteen minutes later. Her death was due to acute indigestion and heart trouble. The funeral took place Tuesday afternoon, services being held at the Conemaugh United Brethren Church at 2 o’clock by the Rev. C. C. Miller, the deceased’s pastor, after which interment was made in Headrick’s Cemetery, above Conemaugh.
The deceased, whose maiden name was Sarah J. Woleslagle, was born at Wilmore on October 8, 1854, and was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. P. M. Woleslagle. She and Daniel J. Pringle were married in this county and for many years made their home in Conemaugh. Her husband was an engineer on the Pittsburg Division of the P. R. R. and was killed in a boiler explosion at Mineral Point in 1902. Mrs. Pringle is survived by four children -- Mrs. E. W. Tomb and W. W. Pringle, of Youngwood; Covode Pringle, of this city, and Mrs. Alexander Kerr, with whom Mrs. Pringle made her home since the death of her husband. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and a brother, the later being John Woleslagle, of Altoona. Mrs. Clarence Berry and Miss Mollie Forsythe, the latter a nurse at the Memorial Hospital, are nieces of the deceased. Mrs. Pringle was a lifelong member of the United Brethren Church and was identified with the Grand International Auxillary, Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers.
