BARBRA M. WISSINGER Barbra Marie Wissinger, Salix, died Thursday, April 2, 1998, at home. She was 69. Born Aug. 6, 1928, in Salix, she was the daughter of the late Hadley C. and Bessie F. (Stufft) Wissinger. She was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy J. McAchren. She was the sister of Florence, with whom she resided; Betty, wife of Robert Felix Sr., Salix; Charles L., Texas; and Elmer F., married to the former Leanore Varner, Johnstown. Also surviving is a brother-in-law, Richard L. McAchren, Johnstown. Employed by the U.S. Postal Department, she was the postmaster of the Salix Post Office for 32 years, retiring in 1983 and was a member of the First Evangelical Congregational Church, Johnstown, where she was a member of the church choir and president of the mission group for many years. Funeral service was held Monday, April 6 at First Evangelical Congregational Church, by the Revs. Chris Lewis and Wilbur Dick, followed by interment in Richland Cemetery. Arrangements were handled by the Homer J. George Funeral Home, Salix. | |
