DONAHUE - Reta L., 67, of Bolivar R.D. 1, died Monday, Dec. 30, 2002, in UPMC Lee Regional. She was born March 16, 1935, in Johnstown, a daughter of Hallie Tomb Brubaker of Beaver Falls; and the late James E. Brubaker. Prior to her retirement, she had been employed as a switchboard operator at Torrance State Hospital, for over 25 years. She was a member of Bolivar United Methodist Church. In addition to her father she was preceded in death by her husband, James R. Donahue in 1999. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Donald (Hallie Jane) Hess Sr. of Seward; a son, Richard E. Donahue of Bolivar R.D. 1; two grandsons, Donald (and his wife, Maya) Hess Jr. and Michael (and his fiancee, Karie) Hess; a brother, Lewis Brubaker of Lancaster, Pa.; and a sister, Dorothy Youngdahl of Beaver Falls. Friends will be received Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the J. Paul McCracken Funeral Chapel, Bolivar, where service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. R. Kenneth Keiper officiating. Interment will be in the Fort Palmer Cemetery. Memorials may be made in her memory to Tri-Community Ambulance. |
