The remains of Mr. Adam Frank, who suffered the amputation of both his legs on Tuesday last, were interred in Sandyvale Cemetery yesterday, and the funeral was a very large one. The members of the German Lodge I. O. O. F., of which he had been a member, turned out in a body.

... man street. Dr. W. B. Lowman had in the meantime been notified of the accident, and proceeded at once to the home of the injured man, where he had proper arrangements made by which the work of amputation could be performed. As Mr. Frank expressed a desire to mke his will before undergoing the operation, Mr. Conrad Hoffman, who was present, wrote it at the dictation of the sufferer, and then the surgeon, assisted by Dr. J. C. Sheridan, commenced cutting off the mutilated limbs, about five inches above the knees.

Mr. Frank bore up under the painful operation quite well, although part of the time being under the influence of chloroform. After the surgeons got through with their work he rallied to a remarkable degree, but soon began to sink, and died shortly after 1 o'clock. Mr. Frank was about twenty-nine years of age, and some time ago was married to a widow named Mrs. Hoffman. It seems that on Tuesday he had a presentiment of impending danger, as, after preparing to go to work, he turned back and remarked to his wife that he would knock off for a day, as he did not feel all right. A few minutes later, however, he started off, and met with the accident above detailed. No blame whatever attaches to any of the train hands, in this instance, as he was not observed trying to get on board until just at the moment when the unsuccessful attempt was made. During the time he was being carried along the streets to his home he bemoaned his fate bitterly, and seemed to be suffering great pain.
