Ebensburg Sky, 22 May 1834, Contributed by Annie Whiteman |
SEYMOUR, Samuel, died Friday, 9th inst, at Johnstown, aged about 50 years. He was well known as a good painter and engraver, and has left many memorials of his skill. He accompanied Colonel LONG in his expedition to the Rocky Mountains, in which he sketched its animals, etc. He was a resident of Cambria County for several years, living in penury and obscurity. His prospects were blighted by the demon of Intemperance. |
