After an illness of about six weeks, Mary Anna, wife of John Kintz, of Cambria, expired this morning after 8 o'clock. Her ailment was heart disease. A short time before her death she was in full possession of her faculties and was in conversation with members of her family.
Deceased was born in Saxony, Germany, in 1829. Her maiden name was Nitch. In 1853 she and Mr. Kintz, by whom she is survived, were united in marriage at Brady's Bend. A year later they came to Johnstown.
Mrs. Kintz was the mother of seven children, four of whom are married and three single. Beside her husband and children, Mrs. Kintz is survived by her mother, who is still in Germany and by two brothers -- Peter, who lives in the country (county?), near the Jackson House, and George, who is a resident of Cambria.
A member of the Catholic Church, a kind neighbor, and a loving mother, Mrs. Kintz will be sincerely mourned by everybody who enjoyed her acquaintance. |
