Mrs. Levina George Myers, widow of James A. Myers, died Tuesday night at her home here. Mrs. Myers took sick the day after the death of her husband, Dec. 20, 1911. Her death was due to arterial trouble.
Mrs. Lavina George Myers was a daughter of Frederick and Elizabeth Sharp George and was born in Washington township 78 years ago. She was married to Mr. Myers in 1858 at Lilly which was then known as Hemlock. She is survived by the following children: Ellie, wife of A. C. Evans of Pitcairn; J. R. Myers, assistant cashier of the Ebensburg First National Bank; George F. Myers of Pitcairn; Agnes, a teacher in the Ebensburg schools and Edith, wife of H. C. Peoples of East End, Pittsburg.
Funeral services were held at the residence at 1:30 o'clock Friday afternoon when the Rev. T. R. Taggart preached the sermon. Interment was made in Lloyd cemetery. |
