Mr. Levi Mishler, a respected citizen of Conemaugh Township, Somerset County, died at his home at Benscreek last evening at 8 o'clock, aged fifty-nine years, three months and fourteen days. He was a victim of consumption, by which disease he had been confined to his bed for the past six months.

Mr. Mishler was born near Kring Station, and was a son of the late Tobias Mishler and Mrs. Lydia Mishler, who at present makes her home with one of her children. He was married twice, his first wife being Susannah, a daughter of Tobias Weaver, who bore him four children, viz: Amanda, single, who lives near Kring; Ida, married to Levi Eash, of Walsall; Mollie, wife of William Webb, of the Seventeenth Ward, Johnstown; Susan, who died about three years ago.

The second marriage of Mr. Mishler was with Rachel Speigle, and the fruit of this union has been three children; John James, Lucy, and William, all of whom are living, the eldest being about fifteen years of age. Beside his wife, children, and mother, already referred to, Mr. Mishler is survived by the following brothers and sisters; Christiana, wife of Moses Kauffman, of Conemaugh Township, Somerset County; David, of near Kring; Mary, married to Jeremiah Weaver, and residing at New Cambria, Kansas, but at present on a visit to relatives in Somerset County; Polly, wife of Levi Wingard, of Richland Township, Cambria County; Samuel, of near Davidville; Joseph, of Adam Street, this city, and Moses and Tobias, both living near Davidsville.

Mr. Mishler followed the occupation of a butcher, and in all his business, as well as other dealings, was known as a man of upright character and sterling worth. He was a member of the Mennonite Church, and Elder Levi Blough, of that denomination, will conduct the religious services over his remains at 9 o'clock to-morrow morning, in the church at the foot of Tire Hill. Afterward the remains will be interred in the burial ground on the farm of Levi Weaver, in Conemaugh Township, Somerset County.
