Mrs. Mary Wilson Moose, aged 63 years, wife of Samuel Moose, of Mineral Point, died at the Moose residence at 4:45 o'clock yesterday afternoon. Death was due to a complication of diseases.
The deceased was born in Scotland, March 19, 1854, and came to the United States when a child. She was a daughter of Charles Wilson of Franklin Borough, deceased. The Wilson family settled in Mineral Point upon coming to this country. Mrs. Moose was united in marriage to Samuel Moose about 45 years ago. She is survived by her husband and the following children: James A., of Mineral Point; Mrs. Katherine Hines of Mineral Point; Mrs. David Killen of East Taylor Township; Mrs. Harold McQuay of Mineral Point; William E. and Clayton W., both at home; Mrs. Walter Page of Mineral Point. Two children, Harry and Jessie Pearl Moose are deceased. Mrs. Moose is also survived by two brothers and two sisters - Scott Wilson of Walnut Grove; Robert Wilson, of Conemaugh Township, Cambria County; Mrs. Thomas Trimbath of Franklin Borough; Mrs. Samuel Ribblett of Conemaugh Township, Cambria County. One sister, Mrs. Simon Griffith, died a number of years ago. Seventeen grandchildren also survive the deceased.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon from Wesley Chapel. The services will be conducted by the Rev. J. D. Clark, pastor of the United Evangelical Church of Conemaugh, assisted by the Rev. J. K. L. Ressler, pastor of the Conemaugh United Brethren Church. The deceased was a lifelong member of the Methodist Episcopal Church at Mineral Point. Interment will be made in the Wesley Chapel Cemetery. |
