Remarks:   SHAFFER -- Clark, 81, Wilmore, at 4 a.m. Apr. 16, 1948. Born in Wilmore, son of Christian and Susan (Ober) Shaffer. Signalman for PRR until 1912 when back injury forced him to quit. Served from 1912 until five years ago as tax collector and assessor for Wilmore. Survived by widow, former Mary E. Pringle, whom he married 54 years ago. Also leaves four daughters, Mrs. L. T. Culp, Trafford; Mrs. S. C. Hael, Marion Center; Mrs. J. C.Hughes, Indiana, and Mrs. C. L. Claycomb, Forest Hills, Pittsburgh; one sister, Mrs. Alice Sherbine, Wilmore; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Charter member of Wilmore E. U. B. Church, member of church board 35 years and a trustee. Funeral 2 p.m. Monday at Shaffer home by Revs. G. E. Kelly, Huntingdon, and H. C. Cridland, Wilmore. Burial Pringle Hill Cemetery. George Funeral Home, South Fork.
