HELSEL -- Mrs. Olive E., 70, Elton, Pa., died Aug. 10, 1975, at Memorial Hospital. Born Aug. 8, 1905, in Windber, daughter of Irvin and Mary (Horner) Varner. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Percy; and sister, Bessie. Survived by these children: Wayne, married to former Theda Marsh, and George J., married to former Dorothy Shepko, both of Elton; Marjorie, wife of Helmer Glittenberg, Falls Church, Va.; Dolores, wife of Philip Peterson, Springfield, Va.; Barbara, wife of Robert Selders, Johnstown; and Galen, married to former Shirley Davis, Conemaugh R. D. 1; also 17 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Sister of Mrs. Edythe Hammer and Mayme, wife of Harry Shank, both of Johnstown, and Mrs. Helen Johnston, LeMoyne, Pa. Member of Elton United Methodist Church and society of WSWS. Former employee of W. T. Grant Co. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Lloyd G. Shank Funeral Home, Windber. Service at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Elton United Methodist Church, the Rev. Thomas Brown. Interment, Grandview Cemetery. |
