MRS. BARBARA KIRSCH EXPIRES AT NICKTOWN
Mrs. Barbara (Krug) Kirsch, 85, whose husband, the late Louis Kirsch, established the Kirsch woodworking business in Nicktown, died at her home at 7 o'clock Tuesday evening of last week. She had been an invalid for the past five years.
Mrs. Kirsch was born in Carrolltown, the daughter of Philip and Helena Krug. Her husband died about 22 years ago. Surviving children are Rose, Jacob, Thomas, Clement, Amandus, Louis, Theresa and Frederick, all of Nicktown. There are 37 grandchildren, five of whom are now serving with the armed services, and four great-grandchildren. Edward Krug, of Spangler, and Jacob Krug, of Barnesboro, are brothers of the deceased, and Mrs. Lena Snyder, of Altoona, is a sister.
A requiem mass for Mrs. Kirsch was sung Saturday morning at 9 o'clock in St. Nicholas Church, Nicktown, by the pastor, Rev. Father Bertram McFadden, O.S.B., and interment in the church cemetery followed.
