MRS. AGNES TOBIN, 61, OF NANTY GLO, PASSES AWAY HERE
NANTY GLO--Mrs. Agnes Anna (Kline) Tobin, 61, of 1412 Third Street, Nanty Glo, died at 7:25 o'clock last evening in Mercy Hospital, Johnstown. She was admitted to the hospital June 12.
Mrs. Tobin had been in failing health for several years, following a severe illness of diptheria. Born in Barr township March 10, 1878, she had been a resident of Nanty Glo the past 32 years. For some time she was registrar of vital statistics for the Nanty Glo district.
Mrs. Tobin was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Kline. Her husband, Thomas J. Tobin, passed away in 1930. The following children survive: Lillian, wife of Blain Long; Cherry Tree R.D., Richard, Turtle Creek; Kathleen, wife of William Hughes, New Kensington; Emma, wife of Bern Colburn, Birmingham, Mich.; Thomas, Ebensburg R.D.; James, Nanty Glo; and Martin, at home.
Fourteen grandchildren also survive Mrs. Tobin, along with these brothers and sisters: John Kline and Mrs. Mary Soisson, both of Nicktown; Nicholas Kline of Nicktown R.D., and Rupert Kline and Mrs. Thomas Bolger of Marsteller.
The deceased was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Nanty Glo, where funeral rites will be conducted Friday morning at 9 o'clock. Interment in St. Nicholas Cemetery, Nicktown, will be under the direction of George J. Ondriezek, local mortician. |
