Remarks: | MRS. JOHN WOHLWEND SUMMONED BY DEATH
Mrs. Nellie (Nicholson) Wohlwend, 73, of this place, died Saturday afternoon at the Raymond Hospital, Johnstown, following a long illness. She was the widow of John S. Wohlwend. Mrs. Wohlwend was born in Indiana county in on December 27, 1871, a daughter of Hiram and Caroline (Spicher) Nicholson. Surviving are a brother, William, Ebensburg R.D., and four sisters—Mrs. Agnes Francis, Ebensburg; Mrs. Ambrose Powell, Youngstown, O.; Mrs. G. A. Ginter, Marion Center; and Mrs. Jennie Jones, Ebensburg R.D. She had resided here for the past 40 years and was a member of the Nantyglo Church of the Brethren. Friends were received at the Askew Funeral Home, where services were conducted at 2 o’clock Tuesday afternoon by Rev. Ivan Futterman, pastor of the Hillsdale Church of the Brethren, and Rev. Ellis W. Roberts, pastor of the local Presbyterian Church. Interment was in Lloyd cemetery. Expressions of sympathy are offered the bereaved relatives. | |
