Mrs. Catherine Grumbling [Gramling]

Attacked with heart failure last evening about 5:30 o’clock as she was sitting in a rocking chair at her home, Mrs. Catherine GRUMBLING, wife of George GRUMBLING, of No. 223 David Street, Dale, arose, took a few steps, and fell over on a couch, dying in a few minutes and before medical aid could reach her.

The deceased, whose maiden name was Catherine PAUL, was born in Adams Township, and was seventy-seven years of age. She was united in marriage to George GRUMBLING in 1854, and they had made their home in Dale Borough for ten years. Besides the husband, the following children survive: Mrs. John GILLMAN, of Adams Township; Mrs. Cyrus WISSINGER, of Dale Borough; Mrs. J. S. STUTZMAN, of Dale, whom the deceased had visited only a few minutes before her death; S. L. and Daniel GRUMBLING, of Dale, Charles, of the Seventh Ward, and William, of Windber.

The deceased was a member of the Dale U. E. Church, of which the Rev. J. Q. A. Curry is a pastor. Arrangements for her funeral will not be made until word is received from the son Charles, who is visiting in the South.
