| WIAND. – In Jenner Township, Somerset County, near Jennertown, on Thursday morning, January 25, 1894, of dropsy, Hugh Wiand, aged 72 years 11 months and 22 days. Funeral services were held in the Jennertown Lutheran Church at 10 o’clock last Saturday morning. Interment was made in the church graveyard. 2nd Obituary Same newspaper; same day DEATH OF HUGH WIAND His Remains Were Interred Last Saturday at Jennertown The venerable Hugh WIAND, of Jenner Township, Somerset County, whose serious illness the Tribune frequently mentioned within the past few months, expired at his late residence on last Thursday morning. He had been sick for the past two years and had been housed up for the past eight months with dropsy. Mr. WIAND was in his seventy-second year, and is survived by his wife and four children: Mrs. Peter BOWMAN, who lives on a farm adjoining the old homestead; Mrs. Solomon GLESSNER, of Glessner, Somerset County; Simon, of the Seventeenth Ward, this city, and Reuben, of California. The funeral took place on last Saturday morning. The obsequies were conducted by Rev. Crist, in the Jennertown Lutheran Church, of which the deceased was a member all his life, after which interment was made in the church graveyard. |
