MRS. STINEMAN CALLED BY DEATH Wife of Ex-Senator at South Fork Was Autoing as Late as Last Saturday HAD ACUTE INDIGESTION Special to the Tribune. South Fork, July 12. -- Mrs. Stineman, wife of Ex-Senator J. C. Stineman, died at 3:10 o'clock this afternoon at her residence, corner of Main and Maple streets, following a brief illness of acute indigestion and heat prostration. As late as last Saturday Mrs. Stineman was out autoing. Sunday evening she was forced to take her bed. She sank rapidly. With the exception of one son, W. I. Stineman, who is in New Mexico with his wife, all her children were at her bedside. Mrs. Stineman was in the sixty-sixth year of her age. She was born near South Fork, spending her entire life in this section of the county. She was married to the Hon. J. C. Stineman, December 20, 1866, her maiden name having been Ellen Varner. To this union were born eight children, of whom the following survive: Albert Meade, Washington Irving, Harvey Cameron, Nettie May, wife of Dr. George A. Slick; Oliver Morton, and Jacob Wilbur, all of South Fork with the exception of Harvey C., who resides in Westmont, Johnstown. Mrs. Richard Willis and Mrs. Fred Croyle, both of South Fork, are the only living sisters of the deceased. Mrs. Stineman was a member of the South Fork United Evangelical Church. Funeral services will be announced tomorrow. (South Fork Cemetery) |
