MAPSTONE, John. The subject of these lines, who died at his home in South Fork Monday morning, was born in South Wales in 1835 and came to America with his parents when eight years old. The family settled in Danville, Pa., and there Mr. Mapstone grew to manhood, was married, and resided until 1897, when he and his family located in South Fork. Deceased is survived by a wife and nine children, most of them residents of South Fork. The funeral took place Wednesday, the Odd Fellows and Daughters of Naomi attending the services in the M. E. Church in a body.
