BODENSCHATZ-MORRIS – Leona Mae (Brummert), 94, Richland, formerly of New Germany, passed away Sept. 22, 2015, at Arbutus Park Manor, Johnstown. Born Sept. 20, 1921, in South Fork, daughter of Henry H. and Amelia (Gay) Brummert. Preceded in death by parents; first husband, James Morris, who died Dec. 14, 1962; sons, Terry J. Morris, Kenny W. and Kevin D. Morris; brothers, Earl, Henry, Leroy and Clarence Brummert; and sisters, infant Dorothy, Ethel Poling, Evelyn Leach, Dolores Louder and Pearl Stiffler. Survived by daughter, Bonnie Lee (Morris), wife of Ronald Dillon, Sidman; sister, Florence (Brummert) Crocefoglia, Richland Woods; 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by second husband, Charles Bodenschatz, who died Aug. 15, 2010. Survived by stepchildren, Mary Lou, wife of Russell Schrift; Gary, married to Chris Smith; Daniel, married to Susan Radebach, all of New Germany; Linda, wife of Stanley Stock; Janet, wife of David Hull, both of Summerhill; Ronald, married to Susan Beyer, Ebensburg; Karen, wife of Michael Cronauer, New Germany; and Gail, married to Donald Benyak, Mineral Point; 23 stepgrandchildren, and 26 stepgreat-grandchildren. She was a lifelong member of Wesley United Methodist Church, South Fork. She belonged to the Women’s Society, Forest Hills Senior Center and the Elderberries of First United Methodist Church. Leona was known for her hospitality and good cooking, especially her pies. When you went to visit her you never left hungry. Friends will be received from 1 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home Inc., South Fork. Viewing also at Wesley United Methodist Church from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. Friday, the Rev. Arlene Bobrowicz and the Rev.
