HASTINGS MAN DIES
Charles H. "Dutch" Woodley, 72, Hastings, died Jan. 1, 1980, at home. He was born Nov. 14, 1907, in Elder Township, a son of Henry and Margaret (Lantzy) Woodley. He was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers.
He is survived by his widow, the former Anna Owens, and these children: Patty Ann, wife of Harold Snyder, St. Lawrence; Fred and Eugene, both of Hastings; David, Patton and Martha, wife of Harold Lansberry, St. Boniface; also 17 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was a brother of John, Westover; Joseph, Hastings; Mrs. Agnes Carpinello, Hastings; Mrs. Gladys Carpinello, St. Boniface; and Mrs. Erma Sutton, Lititz, Pa.
He was a member of Bakerton Local 1269 UMWA and St. Bernard's Holy Name Society.
Friends were received at Easly Funeral Home, Hastings. Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Bernard's Catholic Church, Hastings by the Rev. Father Terrence Rogan, OSB. Interment was in the church cemetery. |
