Mrs. Eva Sleep Penney, aged 55, formerly of this city, died Thursday in the McKeesport hospital. She was born in Hopewell, Bedford county, and resided in Johnstown for many years before moving to McKeesport shortly before the flood of 1889. Mrs. Penney was twice widowed. She is survived by two sons, Callie and Herbert Peterson, McKeesport; three brothers, Fred Sleep, Idaho; Charles N. Sleep, Johnstown, and James M. Sleep. McKeesport. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 o'clock this afternoon at the late residence in McKeesport, in charge of the Rev. John C. Burnworth, pastor of the Christy Park M. E. Church. Interment will be in the Versailles Cemetery. |
