FLORA M. SINGER DIES SUDDENLY
Former President of Quota Club Was Stricken in Bed Shortly Before Noon
Miss Flora Mae Singer, of 318 Wood Street died suddenly at her home at 11:45 oclock this morning. She had been ailing yesterday, but was down stairs to breakfast this morning. She later returned to her room and was sitting up in bed, talking and laughing, when she was suddenly stricken, apparently with a heart attack and died immediately. Her brother-in-law, Dr. J. D, Keiper, had dropped in to see her and was at her bedside when she died.
Miss Singer was secretary to Joseph K. Love at the Fort Stanwix Hotel and was very well known locally. She was a charter member and Past President of the Quota Club and was affiliated with the Trinity Lutheran Church.
She was a daughter of the late Alonzo Singer, who died November 8, 1911, and of Mrs. Dora Catherine Singer who survives her with these brother and sisters: Bess, wife of Dr. J. D. Keiper, of Dale; Edgar Singer of 507 Forest avenue; Melvin Singer of 106 McMillen street; Harold, Ruth, and Sheldon Singer, all of the Wood street address, and a nephew, Edgar Singer, Jr., also living at 318 Wood Street. |
