WALTERS - Mary Kathryn (Smith), 85, Spring Hill, Florida; passed away at 1:21 a.m. May 26, 2021 at Oak Hill Hospital, Brooksville, Florida. Born in Dunlo, Pennsylvania; on June 8, 1935, oldest daughter of William John Smith and Catherine Elizabeth Costlow (Joll) (Myers) Smith.
Preceded in death by parents; siblings, William Paul Smith, Charles Richard Smith, Ronald Dennis Smith, and Judith Ann Yeager, and daughter, Penny Lynne (Walters) Minnick.
Survived by children and spouses, Francis M. (Linda), Salix; Thomas E. (Carlene), Apopka, Florida; Charles L. (Denise), Windber; James A. (Jodie), Conway, South Carolina; Donald P. (Sandy), Westmont; Carole Connors (Wayne), Weeki Wachee, Florida; Joseph E. (Stacy), Beaverdale; and Mary K. Carrero (David), Apopka, Florida; brother, George Bernard Smith (Patricia), Ebensburg; sister, Virginia Louise Gurchik (Lynn), New London, Connecticut; and many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and former husband, Elwood Walters, Windber.
Marys life was raising her children and grandchildren. Beloved by all who knew her, she will be sadly missed.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Burial will be with family at St. Michael Catholic Cemetery on W. P. A. Road near St. Michael.
