Elizabeth (Bowers) Waters, wife of John Waters, whose health had been impaired for a long time, died at the Waters residence in Lorain, O., between 4 and 5 oclock yesterday afternoon, aged 56 years. Her death was due to paralysis. The deceased was born in Johnstown and was married here some 30 years ago to John Waters, son of Daniel Waters. Mr. and Mrs. Waters removed from Johnstown to Lorain in 1893 when the Lorain Steel Company transferred its plant from Moxham to Ohio.
Mrs. Waters is survived by her husband, four daughters, three sons, several grandchildren, a brother, Charles Bowers, and two sisters, Mrs. John Thomas and Mrs. Katharine Dobbins, all of Morrellville. The daughters are Sue, wife of Robert Vaughn, a former resident of Coopersdale, now of Canton, O., Misses Mary, Elizabeth and Lillian Waters, at home, and the sons are John Jr., Harry and Raymond Waters, also of Lorain.
Mrs. Dobbins, accompanied by Mrs. Benjamin F. Waters, of Oak Street, left Johnstown this morning for Lorain to attend the funeral Other local relatives will follow later. Mrs. Waters was a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church of Lorain.
