missioned a second lieutenant in the infantry and assigned to Camp Meade, Md., in Company K, Three Hundred Sixteenth Infantry, Seventy-ninth Division. He went to France with the Seventy-ninth Division and was killed in action near Romagne sur Montfaucon, on Sept. 29, 1918, while leading his company into action.
    F. T. Fitzharris received his education in the public schools in Gallitzin, was graduated from the Gallitzin High School in 1899, and from the University of Pittsburgh in 1903 with the degree of Civil Engineer. After leaving college he was employed by the Pittsburgh Terminal Railroad and Coal Company as transitman until 1904, when he served with the Pittsburgh Coal Company as division engineer, and when this company consolidated in 1909 with the Pittsburgh Terminal Railroad and Coal Company he was made chief engineer. In 1914 he went to Ohio, where he was engaged in the coal business for two years. In 1916 he removed to Johnstown and has since been with the Cosgrove-Meehan Coal Company as chief engineer.
    On Sept. 15, 1908, Mr. Fitzharris was married to Miss Elizabeth McDonald, a daughter of A.J. and ------------ (Lallance) McDonald, natives of McDonald, Allegheny County, Pa., where Mr. McDonald was in charge of the coal offices of the Pittsburgh Coal Company. MR. and Mrs. McDonald are both deceased. To Mr. and Mrs. Fitzharris two children have been born: Dorothy, a student at Carnegie Institute of Technology; and John, a student in Johnstown High School.
    Mr. Fitzharris and his family are members of St. Patrick's Catholic Church. He is a Democrat and a member of the Knights of Columbus and Elks Lodge No. 831, of Carnegie, Pa. Mr. Fitzharris is a young man of industry and ability who has made a success in his profession.




    Louis Schubert, an enterprising and successful business man of Johnstown, was born in this city, Oct. 12, 1889, and is the son of Charles and Louise (Moelter) Schubert.
    Charles Schubert, who lives retired in Johnstown, is a native of Germany. Many years ago he emigrated to this country and settled in Johnstown, where he entered the employ of the Cambria Iron Works, with whom he was employed for many years. Mr. and Mrs. Schubert are the parents of the following children: August, lives in Milwaukee, Wis.; Louis, a World war veteran; Herman, associated with Louis in business; Carl, a
