    On Sept. 21, 1893, Mr. Hershberger was married to Miss Alice Blough, the daughter of John W. and Mary (Keim) Blough, the former a native of Cambria County and the latter of Somerset County. John W. Blough was the son of John Blough, well known throughout Somerset County as "Hans" Blough. Mrs. Hershberger's parents are both deceased. She has the following brothers and sisters: Levi and Hiram, both deceased; Mary, married Alex Weaver; Adeline, married Henry Parker, deceased, and later married Jerry Hershberger; Lucinda, married Charles Schaffer; and John. Her half-brothers and sisters are: Emanuel, Magdalene, Catherine Anne, Samuel, Peter, Josiah, Sarah Ann, and Simon.
    To William G. and Alice (Blough) Hershberger the following children were born: Ira, born Feb. 8, 1901, a graduate of Geistown High School, married Miss Irene Ickes, of Johnstown; Stanford, born March 6, 1903, a graduate of Geistown High School, attended Pennsylvania State Normal School; Erma, born Nov. 22, 1905, a graduate of Richland Township High School, and Indiana State Normal School, is a teacher in the Geistown schools; Merle, born June 6, 1908; Mary, born Oct. 16, 1911; and Charles, born May 25, 1914.
    Mr. Hershberger is a Republican and has served as township road supervisor. He and his family hold membership in the Evangelical Church and have a wide acquaintance in the community.




    Faber Beiter, widely known throughout Cambria County as the efficient cashier of the First National Bank at Beaverdale, is a native of this county, and a veteran of the World war. He was born at Wilmore, Nov. 18, 1890, and is the son of Louis and Lucinda (Faber) Beiter.
    Louis Beiter was born in Cambria County and resides at Wilmore, where he is employed by the Pennsylvania Railroad. His wife is a native of Wilmore. They have five children: Regina, Faber, Thecla, Howard, and Paul
    Faber Beiter received his education in the public schools of Wilmore, Gallitzin, and attended South Fork High School. He taught school for several terms in Summerhill Township, Cambria County, and for eight years was connected with the First National Bank at Portage.
