Garlinger, lives at Williamsport, and they have a son, Barry; Roy, lives at home, married Alice McCann, and they have five children, Gladys, Viretta, Idona, Roy, and James; Orien P., married Pearl Appleyard, lives at Lilly, and they have a son, Elmer; Harold, married Marie McIntosh, lives at Altoona, and they have two sons, Jerome and Joseph; and Christopher, married Ruth Hanna, lives at Altoona, and have a son, John. M. C. Lynch is a well known resident of Lilly, where he has served as station agent for the Pennsylvania Railroad for the past 13 years. He was born at Cresson, in Cambria County, Sept. 29, 1878, and is a son of John and Margaret (Hines) Lynch. John Lynch was born near Hollidaysburg, Pa., in 1838. He served throughout the Civil War as a first lieutenant in the 55th Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry and was severely wounded in action. Mr. Lynch was a prominent citizen of Cambria County and served as justice of the peace for almost 40 years. He was also a candidate for county commissioner but was defeated by a small margin. He was a Democrat and a life long member of the Catholic Church. He died in 1900. His wife was born at Carrolltown in 1847 and died in 1925. Mr. and Mrs. lynch were the parents of 14 children, eight of whom are deceased. M. C. Lynch attended the schools of Cresson and for several years engaged in teaching school in Washington Township, Cambria County. He served as principal of Summerhill High School for one year and in 1901 entered the employ of the Pennsylvania Railroad as ticket clerk at Cresson. Five years later he was appointed extra agent on the Pittsburgh division between Pittsburgh and Altoona. He served as agent at New Florence, Pa., for six years, and in 1913 was transferred to Lilly. On Aug. 19, 1903, Mr. Lynch was married at Cresson to Miss Margaret Colbert, of Pittsburgh.
