1910, with the exception of 1915, when he spent the greater part of the year in California. His studio is located at 120 Market Street. Levi H. Weaver, a prosperous farmer and stockman of Richland Township, is a member of a family that has long been identified in the history of Cambria County. He was born on the farm where he resides, Feb. 15, 1869, and is the son of Hiram T. and Louisa (Weaver) Weaver. Hiram T. Weaver, retired, is a native of Richland Township and the son of Tobias Weaver, who was also born in this county. The Weaver family emigrated to this country from Switzerland during the early days and have been leading farmers of Cambria County for many years. The following children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Tobias Weaver: Hiram T., father of the subject of this sketch; Susanna and Levi, both deceased; Isaac, deceased, was a minister of the Mennonite Church in Michigan; Harry, deceased; Mary; Elisabetha, deceased; and Alexander, lives in Cambria County. Hiram T. Weaver still resides on the old homestead in Richland Township. His wife is the daughter of David and Fanny Weaver, natives of Somerset County, Pa. To Mr. and Mrs. Hiram T. Weaver three children were born: Levi H., the subject of this sketch; David, a farmer, lives at Davidsville, Pa.; and Emma Jane, married Stephen Hostettler, lives on the Weaver homestead. Levi H. Weaver has always lived on the same farm. He received his education in the old Weaver school in Richland Township. Mr. Weaver owns one of the fine farms of this section and is extensively engaged in the raising of registered stock. On Jan. 1, 1890, Mr. Weaver was united in marriage with Miss Emma Weaver, the daughter of Noah and Anna (Weaver) Weaver. Mr. Weaver, a Civil war veteran, and prominent farmer of Richland Township, died in 1881. His widow died in 1920. To Levi H. and Emma (Weaver) Weaver |
