Alabama, which successfully put across the Masonic Home movement in that grand jurisdiction. In recognition of this work he was appointed a member of the committee on jurisprudence in the Grand Lodge of Alabama, A. F. & A. M. He served on this committee as long as he resided in Alabama. He was general chairman in charge of the Workingmen's Red Cross mass meeting held in Johnstown, Sept. 30, 1917, at which Theodore Roosevelt was a speaker, and which brought together the biggest crowd ever assembled in the city. During the World War Mr. Peevey was one of the prominent speakers of Cambria County, and one of the community's most active workers in the various Liberty Loan drives and Red Cross campaigns.




    Dr. Otto Greenblatt, one of Johnstown's most successful dentists, with offices at 416 Main Street, is a native of Germany. He was born in 1889.
    Doctor Greenblatt received his early education in the public schools of Philadelphia and the C H. S. of Philadelphia, and was graduated from Philadelphia Dental College in 1916. Since 1918 he has practiced his profession in Johnstown and has met with marked success. Doctor Greenblatt is an accomplished musician, having received his musical education at Philadelphia and Pittsburgh.




    Samuel W. Gilchrist is an enterprising merchant of Johnstown, where he is manager of Kennedy's Medicine Store. He is a native of Harrisburg, Pa., born March 17, 1874, and the son of Robert M. and Margaret (Weaver) Gilchrist.
    Robert M. Gilchrist, deceased, was a prominent architect of Harrisburg, Pa., for a number of years. He was born in Dauphin County, Pa., and his wife was a native of Philadelphia. They are both deceased.
    Samuel W. Gilchrist attended the public schools of Harrisburg and engaged in the retail grocery business in that city for ten years, after which he became identified with the Kennedy drug interests. Mr. Gilchrist has been connected with their stores in Elmira, N.Y.; York, Scranton, and Johnstown, Pa. The local store was established in 1915 and carries on a general drug business at 142 Market Street. J. R. Kennedy of Reading, Pa., is the owner of this chain of drug stores.
