HISTORY OF CAMBRIA COUNTY 1083

    On May 5, 1895, Mr. Goller was united in marriage with Miss Margaret Eichenscher, the daughter of Henry and Margaret Eichenscher, of Pittsburgh. They have five children: Rosella, Raphael, Bernard, Edward, and Mary Margaret. Mr. Goller's two sons are associated in business with him.
    Mr. Goller is a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, the Moose and Eagle lodges, and Austrian Turner Society. He is a Democrat.




    G. W. Ellenberger, president of the Guaranty Commercial Acceptance Company, is a successful and representative business man of Johnstown. He was born in Bedford County, Pa., Aug. 26, 1863, and is the son of George and Mary (Wilson) Ellenberger, both deceased. During his life George Ellenberger engaged in general farming in Bedford and Somerset counties.
    After attending the district schools of his native county, G. W. Ellenberger entered the employ of the Cambria Steel Company and after two years went with the Johnstown Lumber Company. In 1889 he began nine years of service with Peter Ott & Son. He then formed a partnership with David Ott, which continued for 21 years. The company ranked among the leading lumber concerns of this section and specialized in mill work. In 1924 the partnership was dissolved, and after an extensive trip throughout the West, Mr. Ellenberger accepted his present position as president of the Guaranty Commercial Acceptance Company, Jan. 1, 1925.
    On Aug. 26, 1887, Mr. Ellenberger was united in marriage with Miss Ella Boyer, the daughter of Levi and Elizabeth Boyer, of Somerset County. They have two children: Elizabeth, married M. M. Riddle of Johnstown, and they have a son, Charles; and Edgar Ellenberger.
    Mr. Ellenberger and his family hold membership in the Evangelical Church, and they are among the prominent families of Cambria County.
    The Guaranty Commercial Acceptance Company was organized in November, 1922, by the following business men of Johnstown: Louis Franke, F. C. Thompson, E. F. Stahl, F. J. Fox, and L. J. Miller. The present officers of the company are: G. W. Ellenberger, president; F. J. Audet, vice president; A. M. Adams, secretary; and D. C. Heinze, treasurer. The directors are: G. W. Ellenberger, F. J. Audet, A. M. Adams, D. C. Heinze, Louis Franke, Dr. J. H. Gardner, M. W. Hauger, C. G. Straub, Zachary Miller, C. H. Schmucker, and Francis J. Fox.
